Performance
This benchmark was made using the tool httperf in the early morning over a 2 MBit ADSL line in Berlin, Germany. The AWF, HTML and Redaxo server's were hosted in Germany. The performance was tested with the public Web sites of the CMS manufacturers (e.g. typo3.com but also demo.typo3.com). Even if we assume that the connection to servers outside Germany was a bit slower, there is a significant performance gain for AWF (the average Web server response time was about 500ms, in some cases > 1000ms, whereas the ping times were < 100ms and timeout was 5000ms). There is of course much more work to do in order to get more significant and detailed results.
